    Expertise

    Stephen is a Director and in charge of the Commercial Litigation team. He has over 30 years experience in practice from work in Darwin, Sydney and Adelaide.

    He has acted for national and international companies, small and large business, and individuals in a wide range of law. His expertise is in resolving difficult and challenging matters.

    Stephen has acted as Counsel in the Federal Court, the Supreme Court and Junior Counsel in the High Court on trials and appeals.

    Stephen represents three Native Title Claim Groups and has developed numerous precedent agreements between these groups and mining and petroleum companies.

    Stephen has been a regular guest lecturer at Universities and legal conferences.

    He has an active role in Human Rights matters and is a pro-bono adviser to the Foreign Prisoner Support Service. Stephen has represented a number of Australians detained overseas, including David Hicks and Robert Langdon.

    Stephen has received the Justice Award from the Law Society, was highly commended by the Human Rights & Equal Opportunity Commission, and won the Social Justice Award from the Knights of the Southern Cross.
